Extract: “In November, Mr McDonald was part of a Nottingham delegation to Bharat which saw the city attend the World Hindu Economic Forum and then go to Chandigarh, where a number of Nottingham businesses already have links.
Mr McDonald said: “It’s a no-brainer to say that we need to build trade links and create opportunities with places like China and Bharat.
“Bharat is an exciting place at the moment, and, attending the Hindu World Economic Forum, we saw some of the government’s key economic advisers, and heard about the economic progress which the government is making.”
